An informal poll.
If you're an American, tell me if you're on prescription antidepressants, stimulants, antipsychotics, lithium, anti anxiety medication, etc.

nope, although if my parents had been anymore mainstream i would have been on adderall/ritalin since i was a wee one. thankfully they had the foresight that getting a small child addicted to speed is a bad idea.

Fuck head meds, those fucking fucks! Trying to get toddlers hooked on CRACK. Fuck them.
Hyperactivity and boredom in ultra youth is a sign of LIFE. If one is filled with flames, the little flickers of interest in school work are nothing in comparison.
It's like they want everyone to be Data in Star Trek.
It was recommended that I take ritalin or something like that when I was really young, but luckily my dad saw the shit.
Kinds on meds-- no. LSD and e in the water supply of the world-- yes.

I dunno, Jivver D. I know that it changed the original natural balance my brain was supposed to have. Whether it is to blame for my retarded behavior or not is unknown. It was becaue instead of sitting still in school and learning I found better entertainment through not listening to the teacher and climbing bookshelves instead. And apparently drugs were the only cure. I'm not mad though.

"Please explain how LSD and E in the water supply would not be worse than kids being on medication unnecessarily"
If every kid in the world was put on medication, the WHOLE-FANTASY-WORLD of childhood play would be lost. Kids would be content with mediocrity and wouldn't strive to find true fun and be interestingly creative in their output. All the coolest shit we experience is from a single or collected-mind, that's passionate about putting something out for everybody. None of that can be accomplished by a person or group of people who are fine staring into space; grown from children whose framework of experience was primarily built by controlled intervals of medicine that served to mainly change undesired characteristics of the true character of the person.
LSD and E in the world water supply, on the other hand, has a main purpose of realizing true harmony between all through love and self-realization, while still maintaining the possibility for fun, "as intended". The LSD little, the E a lot more. The E creates a context of love, within which the LSD can work, to reveal the depth of love and how it relates to all. The E also serves as a preventative measure for bad trips. Through love and self-empowerment- with a newly found desire to benefit the collective people of Earth- EVERYBODY WINS.

I have a question about drugs, has anyone here heard of or experienced any person witnessing something really life-altering while on drugs? Meaning a family member dying or a disturbance of some sort? It seems like most drug stories involve a controlled environment where nothing bad happens. To the drug-taker does it feel real or do they sober up to some extent?

"All the coolest shit we experience is from a single or collected-mind, that's passionate about putting something out for everybody." ...and that's able to be passionate in general, about things that aren't just anything. If a child finds the carpet interesting because they're peaking on speed, well, they're not gonna look any further to something that might eventually result in the cool shit we all enjoy.

details i wont go into on a public forum, but i know a person who has had to pull thier thumb out their ass and go from the back end of an acid bender to a very serious situation. and said persons account of the situation was that when the adrenaline kicked in the situation was handled, however the aftermath left them in shit state.
