jesus christ this is awesome. maybe it's old, but i've never heard about it: "Mini Handheld gaming system plays roms from your favorite 8 and 16 bit game consoles. No emulator software to load. Just copy over the roms and start playing." |

I play lots of snes games to this day but I can't stand d-pads anymore. Analog stick or nothing, as far as I'm concerned. |

i have a gp2x and its rather ace for pocket emulation, if a few years old now, and the pseudo d-pad took ages to get used to. also, i will be amazed if the ever gets released. its over a year late and still no danger |

They're just too hard on my old thumb. The analog stick on the 360 controller glides like a dream and I've found it even easier than a d-pad for games like Street Fighter that require quarter-, half-, or full spins of the d-pad to do certain moves. |

huh. i didn't even know these emulation things existed. those crazy asians probably invented these gadgets years ago. after some research i found that this Pocket Retro Game Emulator is actually it's really cheap too. i might get one. |

i wouldn't get too excited, it's hard to tell how good the emulation is from just a small video but mostly i'm wondering how they could get away with the cross-shaped d-pad, since nintendo patented that |

I used to have a GP2X, which was really great, but I sold it and got a DS with a CycloDS Evolution card instead (lets you use microSD cards in it). As long as I can play James Pond II: Robocod I'm happy :) I agree with Guybrush on the Pandora, it's been a long time coming and I doubt it'll ever be released at this rate... |

james pond is awesome. used to have it on an amiga 500. aw, those were the days. dariusgriffin: i doubt they have all licenses necessary to sell this emulator, but who cares? if it works, i'm happy. |

I just wish someone would make a really nice and clean PC equivalent. All those machines supported consistently in the same package, with nice organization tools. |

these gadgets look nifty but they're pricey and i can't help but wonder how good the quality is, i.e how long until the products begin to fail on you. they promote good quality, but that means nothing, it could be good quality shit. there doesn't seem to be any customer feedback on the website. nevertheless, they managed to tickle my interest. |

the GP2X was really high quality, I expect the A320 is at least as good. i'm happy with my DS+flash cart though... bizarrely I now use my DS for playing the original Tetris more than I do playing DS games. |

the problem with the DS is that its screen is too small to fully display pretty much anything but gameboy games |
