Firstly, sorry for being exclusive of those above 25, but
anyway...

Do you fear the future? Do you have a vision of rigid,
meaningless mediocrity when you imagine what your life will
be like from the time that you are, say, 35, 40 years of age
onwards?

It might be nice to have kids and that, but also to be
destroying the planet and stuff and being like everyone else
is not something that I relish the thought of.

To those aged above 25, I am still interested to hear what
your thoughts are on this topic.

Look mate. Some seppo on this messageboard said it just
about right. Nothing really matters. You shouldn't care
about the future and how bad you'll fail in it for fuck
sake. All you need to do is keep moving forward or quite and
kill yourself.

i feel like the world was fucked up before i got here so
trying to hold a grudge about it is just as redundant as
trying to change it. That's why it will take mass disaster
for anything to change.

Dont have kids please.

What's wrong with the world? I don't understand. And why
would add you negative to another thinking you'll end up
with a positive?

Xactly, I'll owe a lot of money by the end of my degree,
too. But I guess I will think about that when I come to it.
Still, it does suck a bit to have to pay to get training to
enable you to get a gd job, though. :(

Military service? Where do you live?

lol, I took the don't have kids please thing as a mild
insult at first, but then I realised you probably meant that
it would contribute to overpopulation. But like you said,
why try to change it? I might have two kids, in this case.

asking that kind of question doesn't deserve an answer dude.
Think about it for more than 5 minutes and you'll see
problems and faults all around you. Best ignore the rest of
the world unless you know of ways to help.

Yeah, I will probably just keep moving forward like you
said. It is good to be a little mindful of these things
though, wouldn't you agree? To ignore them completely is to
be in some kind of deliberate illusory ignorance of them,
which doesn't sound very good to me. As long as it doesn't
get to me too much, I will continue to think about such
things, but I do think that part of the reason I think about
them so much is cos I have a lot of free time to do so, lol.

i was just messin around, but for me, i don't think having
kids is smart because of all the possbile destruction that
could ensue at any moment. Why would you want to bring a
living feeling being into the world to experience death?
That's the question that i have yet to answer with enough
confidence to feel secure about having kids. just my thought
on it all.

...

here's a hilariously bad answer from Wiki Answers

But to add to these things;

I can't be bothered to put a crappy list which won't be very
well worded or substantiated. I have a friend who knows
about this kinda thing who I am gonna ring again in 20 mins
when he comes off the subway. Then I'll consult him and give
u a proper good list.

I just don't want to give a crap list cos everyone will
criticise as they know more about it than me.
