Played for 15 hours just lastnight and today. Fuckin'
amazing. Anyone else struggling to stay off this?

Its fun, wherever you are, to ask yourself what you would do
if you saw fast zombies killing people a couple blocks away.

with my mate, she loves the shit out of this game, but not

all aphex related

played through the online demo a number of times now and
it's heaps of fun as long as your teammates understand the
concept of co-op play.

Played the demo and it didn't impress me. A few more special
infected, bit more guns, different setting, nothing special.
Didn't like how the PC demo seemed to be a sloppy xbox port.
No, I'm sticking with Bill, Zoey, Francis and louis.

Seeing as I can't make it all the way through the first game
without getting bored, I'll not be buying this one.

I thought the same. Play the full game and then try and play
L4D1. L4D1 felt like a cheap mod in comparison.

loving it. i was a bit worried that the new special infected
would have balancing issues with the gameplay, but its all
gravy.

That's because L4D1 is a cheap mod. A cheap, $50 mod.

I was especially disappointed that the game features the
"console" field of view (i.e. zoomed in) and the prehistoric
"bodiless" viewmodel with the DOOM-esque gun&hand glued to
the right hand side of the screen as opposed to your "cheap
mod" L4D1, which has all these basic things. Lack of this
makes it feel like a step back to me. Also, the gun sounds
were kind of tin can, and made it feel like wielding a
shotgun was like wielding a BB-gun. Compare that to the gun
sounds of Borderlands and u know how it should be done.....
besides I don't feel like eating old candy in a new
wrapping..... *shrugs* guess I'm kinda over the whole
game......

thats really weird cause i find the gun sounds of L4D2 to be
the best ever. maybe something wrong with your speakers.

Yeah, the sounds in Borderlands are really awesome. I wish
that game wasn't such a letdown at the end.

my gt is : "jessicution" .... l4d 1 is crap... the second is
pretty good. I've only played about 1/2 an hour of it so
far, I just get bored and play halo 3 while it's rented.

Just thought I'd let you guys know, this game actually
played a part in at least temporarily ending my 2 and a half
year relationship with my gf. That's some game.

christ that's rough. sorry to hear it man. if you dont mind
my asking, are you (still) heavily addicted or does she have
a problem with the game being so violent?

She has no problem with the game being violent. Things
turned sour when she got in from a weekend away and I
continued to just talk to my mates down the mic. She said
thoughts she'd been having coupled with this gave her the
guts to end it.

My girlfriend hated when I played the original Left 4 Dead
all the time, but then she started playing it. I would come
home from work and SHE would be on the headset playing the
game! we both enjoy Left 4 Dead 2, I bought it on PC for
myself, and on XBOX so we can both play. She can actually
sleep to the sounds of gun shots, zombies and infected but
she seems to have messed up dreams as well :)
