After MUCH deliberation I've bought a Hercules RMX. Just been watching some vids of people using it with traktor scratch and control vinyl.
Have you tried this? I was going to get an audio 4 but don't think I'll bother if the RMX works.

didnt know it was traktor certified, but i looked up a youtube, and it seems to work. you could try and get a traktor control vinyl and see for yourself.
note, you WILL need a scratch version of Traktor. standard version wont support timecode, we tried with dave's traktor at wonderment and it was a no-go

I'll grab myself some control vinyls next week, no harm if it doesn't work as I'll get traktor scratch eventually.

good man. the integrated soundcard (and a decent one at that) is what made me favour it over the VCI.
when i do use it, i just hook it via usb to traktor pro and thats it. i will say it was pretty much made for traktor though, so if you've seen videos of people using with traktor scratch, i'm sure it will work. herc has an ftp site which has a lot of configs too i believe.
personally though, i'd just keep your deck setup as it is and maybe use the herc with your laptop, keeping things exclusively digital. have fun.

yes I've see the traktor midi configs for the RMX floating around on the net. Was looking at the Numark Omni too but most opinions favoured the Herc.
