Time for a new comics thread. I know a lot of you like to
read comics (or graphic novels, but for me it's a shit term
so i stick with 'comics')

I'd love to hear about your faves!

A few that pop into my mind. I'll surely forget stuff i'll
add on.

Anything by:

- Chris Ware
- Michael Kupperman
- Crumb
- vaughn Bodé
- Art Spiegelman
- Suehiro Maruo
- Hideshi hino
- Usamaru Furuya
- Kazuo Umezu
- Clamp
- Kazuichi Hanawa
- Junji Ito
- Katsuhiro Otomo
- Taiyou Matsumoto
- Yoshiharu Tsuge
- Osamu Tezuka
*********************
- Berserk by Kentaro Miura
- The world is mine by Hideki Harai
- Fist of the north star by Tetsuo Hara and Buronson
- Ushijima by Shohei Manabe
- Doraemon by Fujiko F Fujio
- Parasite by Hitoshi Iwaaki
- Haruka na Machi e by Jiro Taniguchi
- Stairway to Heaven by Makoto Kobayashi

ATM i'm reading two sweet mangas, not so adult but fun.
Letter Bee by Hiroyuki Asada and Hunter X Hunter by
Yoshihiro Togashi.

I'll round up my favourites from Europe next time. There's

fun.

Nice. Though oddly the list isn't endless for me. I filtered
out a lot of stuff to stay with the real big boys (and
girls, like Clamp).

Clamp can appear to be very girly, depending on the book. I
really recommend Tokyo Babylon, X and xxxHolic. Clover for
the artwork. I'm currently reading RG Veda by them.

I started off on 2000ad,and still have a few heavy metals.I
think the first comic I ever bought was a D.C. and it was
Logans Run.I spent my swimming money on it and hid in the
bandstand next to the baths to read it.

Thanks hanal. I have a lot to catch up regarding superhero
comics. I never was much into them but i feel this might
differ today.

Definitely getting this then. if i can find it!

find some Female Furies-Bernadeth,Lashina,Stompa,Gilotina &
Mad Harriet.Always good for a (camp) laugh.

I was reading Gantz but I haven't kept up(stopped around
issue 300). Similarly I'm catching up on the Marvel Civil
War stuff because I missed all that. Pick up The Walking
Dead books when they come out. As for one off books, I'll
read pretty much anything.

Recommendation of today, Night Fisher by R. Kikuo Johnson.
It's a few years old and short but it's excellent.
