i would like to quickly generate 100's of png images of a black background with coloured vertical bars of random position and width what is a good way to do this. i think w m w uses python for his avatars so that might work but is there a easier way |

it's Processing code... go to processing.org and download the IDE and fool around with it... should work though, the thing in the link, does it not? it splurts out 100 200x200px pngs. |

See, that site would be really cool if it allowed you to use all of the parts more than once, not just some of them. For a "game" that is supposed to be about abstract, random creativity, they sure did a good job of placing artificial boundaries for absolutely no reason. |

Oh god... why does everything in programming have to be so cryptic... 'processing'? How are you supposed to search this term in google? Do you know how many competing non-relevant junk results come up to bury it? Similar to C++... one fucking letter? How the fuck do you search one fucking letter in google. If you make a damn language for fucks sake call it something unique like 'pinthnaginol'. There aren't many competing results for pinthnaginol motherfucker. But processing looks cool, never heard of it. Is it like better than python or something (I use python.. or at least I have in the past, I'm so rusty I probably forgot how). |

thats exactly what i was thinking w m w. i was trying to search for this sh!t and couldnt find nothing! its cool though. im using it to make images for my "pictures folder" screensaver because i need images with just the right amount variations in brightness and colour for when i go to sleep |
