XSThree~please could you give me the name of the artist
that did the James Bond track that you played during your
radio set?
Thankyou in advance.

It was sometime Bad Seed (and according to Steve Albini,
massive drug fiend) Barry Adamson from his "Cinema is King
EP", the track in question being "007, A Fantasy Bond
Theme".

If you need further assistance, let me know.

I have a terrible memory, I remember this song but I'd never
have been able to tell you the title or band name. It's the
sort of thing that just brain erupts at inappropriate times
and I might find myself chanting "I EAT CANNIBAL" at the
mirror or a worried barmaid. Steve Wright's wry bookend
commentary is a bit rich, sounds even hollower without the
simpering noises of agreement from his Posse or whatever
fuckwits he surrounded himself with.

I'm hot for Toto Coelo, without reservation. I'd never
encourage Steve Wright though. I'm more of a Hairy Cornflake
man myself, or even an Ed Stewpot Stewart.

Haha! It rings a bell but you'd be better off asking
Earthleakage this kind of thing, my memory is very, very
poor. I remember my brother getting a Birthday dedication
read out by Tony Blackburn and he played "Lip Up Fatty" by
Bad Manners.

My memory of that time consists of me sitting in a cardboard
box which was my "space ship" listening to variations on the
radio of playlists consisting of the Birdy Song, the J
Gelis Band and Leo Sayer , whilst my mum endlessly had some
lethal, tumble drier going that threatned at any minute to
explode with its violent gyrations.

Phil Cornwall of course, who played Patridge's broadcasting
nemesis Dave Clifton was part of Steve Wright's gang, doing
impressions of Bowie and Jagger among others.

I quite liked Shakey at the time "Shoot shoot... shooting
gallery", as a child, I remember (oh it's all coming back
now) at the begining of the show he burst out of this pod
that was very Spinal Tap.

I'm worried about it now, why did my mum take me, why didn't
she go with a friend, or hey, my dad? Hmmm. That wouldn't be
the only instance of her sadism. I've said this before but I
always recall her saying of me "Oh he'll never be happy,
wherever he is
" and to this day I don't know if that was
a prediction or a curse.

I fancied the fuck out of Lena Zavaroni, who's show did she
always appear on? She didn't die of bulemia or lukemia or
something awful, I'm genuinely frightened to Google.

think.

Not so long ago I went with my mum and dad to see Willie
Nelson, I think before that we went to see my uncle's T-Rex
tribute band together... that was after a 25 year or more
gulf between them and.... Shaky. Nothing inbetween. I know
they went to see Johnny Cash when he was ill and said he was
bloody awful as he kept brining on this busker to fill in. I
thought that was... kind of funny.
