we're a part of history right now, but it doesn't seem that way. Humanity has gotten dumber. Can you honestly say, "oh in 2004 i remember what i was doing!" To me it all just seems like a blur or something mayne.

i meant, to me it seems that if you look back in history, important global events or achievements are relatively easy to recall, but knowing what you as a person did within the span of your life seems somehow on a different scale. It was just an abstract thought, and applying logic to it just makes it a broader idea and more idiotic.
Humanity has gotten dumber, meaning, it seems that the world (or atleast the world that i see everyday) seems to be not relevant to the span of history, it just seems like a big game, and people dont really aspire to achieve much anymore, besides going to work and raising a family, you don't see much growth anymore after technology advanced to the level it did. It's like we hit a plateau in our evolution as forward thinkers and now people are just doing what they can to get by.
Is this logic skewed? well then i'm sorry if it is, but it's how i choose to see things i guess?
sorry i replied in a serious mood btw.

Of course your logic is skewed because you have never experienced living in any other time then the one you do now. You may think that people in the past were vastly different but your experience of history is thousands of years of life condensed in to books, films and wikipedia pages. You've barely even experienced what life in the current time has to offer (i.e. how the six billion people you don't know live) so it's a bit silly writing off humanity as getting dumber just yet.
