his myspace says he's from bloomington indiana. if that's
the case, then his whole "walking downtown" thing is BS, as
I used to frequent bloominton, as I has friends at IU.

it's when you drive 200 km per hour in your car and fly into
a tree after hitting a speedbump, what happens then is
called a "supercollide". That's why most of the users of SC
are very ugly

Aphex was or is a visionary because of the music he makes.
not because of the software he uses or writes. some of his
best stuff was written without it.

My statement may be a bit harsh. And I don't mean by
definition that anyone who uses max is snob. but it's more
out of personal experience. when I wanted to use reaktor and
max for music creating I was spending more time searching
and experimenting (and miserably failing) then making
"music".

and I'm pretty sure that max or PD isn't something the topic
starter is interested in.

whats the point of programming your own step sequencer if
basicly any DAW has one?

If you want a "sick" granualar synth however I can
understand that you would want to programme one yourself.

But I do honestly believe that programming music isn't for
everyone. it's requires another way of thinking.

it's somewhat unfair to bash all graphical DAWs. Since all
the people's music you admire and listen to probably use or
have used one.

Troutmask..
Its sounds good but, in my opinion, have some more "change"
or something in it
drums for a chance

One Vst that I enjoy alot is REFX's Nexus
tons of cool presets and what nots

sorry to ask this but what exactly are "trackers"? Maybe I
know what it is already but not in that term

My beat-driven music is getting constructed under a
different name, and will be completed later this year.
Broken Hearts on Ice has a different aesthetic goal. Thanks
for listening!

Says it all, doesn't it? Not composed or written, but
constructed - and in the passive voice, no less.

So now that I don't follow mainstream online verbiage, my
music's perceived value must inherently suffer?

If I were writing the music while making that post at the
same time, the language would have been different. Clever,
but not clever enough Mr. Mouse.
