as for pic-discs i'm not a huge fan but the good ones i've got are the one goDel (bastard never wanted to sell it! but thank god for discogs) posted, and ijons dirty princess - i've got all four but jugar al reves is the bestlookin for coloured vinyl, i like pink ones like and honourable mentions are various production - chief ep in screenprinted sleeve, housed in a bag with a tshirt and usb-bracelet included, isdn lp in great velcro-fastened sleeve and my piece de resitance Easy Listening with James Last & Bert Kaempfert |

That reminds me i have F.U.S.E on white vinyl. Caustic Window on white vinyl too. I had a Seam 7" on purple vinyl (Granny 9x?) SAWII on rare Black Vinyl (idmlol), .. i had a dream about this thread last night, I dreamt I was back at Art school and the degree show was in a week's time and I, wouldn't you believe, hadn't done anything. i have a ltd orange Sonic Youth 10" where the 2 tracks on each side both start at the edge and run in concentric spirals but it is quite annoying cause 1 track on each side is shit and there is a 50% chance that you'll get the song you don't want. also, sometimes the needle jumps and it cuts into the wrong song |

... i'd like to raise the following hypothesis: being in a niche, e.g. the niche of playing vinyl records, implies an above average intelligence. where average intelligence is defined by, in this case, being able to recognize the direction of the groove is outwards when perceiving that the needle is not moving inwards. ergo, to follow up on my circular reasoning: people having the limited edition reese record do NOT need to be informed about the direction of the groove, because they are well able to deduce that for themselves. and so, the moron behind the design of the label shoot be shot on sight! |
