at CDnow, er, now, most of their CDs are LIST PRICE!

what fool would shop around on the internet, and then pay
the highest price? maybe they are trying to go upscale...
even more expensive than Virgin stores!...

there was a rumour a while back that Cd prices were going to
drop to try to combat mp3 stealing... guess its not gonna
happen

Meh, I haven't bought a CD since Drukqs first came out.
Which was a mistake... I wish I'd just burned it. I burned a
personal, slimmed down version of Drukqs that I listen to,
while the other collects dust.

Listening to a CD-R comprised of stolen SAW 2 tracks right
now... I used the 20 something bucks I saved to buy a used
copy of Devil May Cry. Thank you, person who created MP3s!

cdnow used to have decent prices a few years ago. not any
more! I get most of my normal stuff through cheap-cds
now.

cds are too expensive. I wish more artists sold direct to
fans.

t's not really worth it anywhere to buy cd, unless you
really like the artwork or you want to support the artist,
although I dig how you can just scan cd's and listen to them
at Borders

i wonder what's going to happen when music just isn't so
profitable...

anyone know of any artists that have just droped out due to
mp3 trading?

We need to form a music union, heh heh. The main problem is
that people who are into making music (because they like it)
but possibly for a profit are the same people who download
free mp3's. I still think any artist should be able to give
their approval or disapproval to letting free mp3's of their
music be distributed anywhere... or they could have
political legal right to sue.... maybe they already do, I
don't really know.

This is pretty cool at the moment at CD Now, they have the
10 Essential IDM albums and Richard comes in at No. 2! (Why
not 1!!!)

It was at the main page for me but I'll also include a
direct link:

http://www.cdnow.com/cgi-bin/mserver/SID=847767352/pagename
=MN/PROMO/promo_in_the_media.html/promoid=8653

And they make a very worthy point: there's one thing that
most IDM artists and fans agree on: The only unintelligent
thing about the genre ended up being the name.
