A bloke I know has offered to sell me his old akai synth
for 100 quid. i dont know anything more about it. it has
midi. it'll be my first foray into synths, are theses any
good? anything i should look out for?

read here

find the model number. check vintage synths, harmony central
user reviews, sound on sound, gearslutz, see if youtube has
any clips. just do a bit of research.

price it on completed ebay auctions. you might find out it's
worth more than £100 and then if you don't like it you
could even make some cash from it?
