braid is absolutely fantastic, later levels are tough tho,
TMNT arcade is fun but i would wait for the new turtles in
time game coming out if your a fan of the arcade game.

purchased splosion man last night, its fun, the new
battlefield game is reviewing really well too, REZ hd looks
and sounds spectacular on a decent hd and hifi set up

Braid is good but like rudster said it gets pretty hard
after the first few levels. I wouldn't exactly describe it
as "light" but it's a good game nonetheless.

Old school platformers are my favorite light gaming, maybe
look for old 8 or 16 bit platformers on xb live?

i got the ultimate megadrive collection yesterday and the
value is pretty good. there is some crap on the disc but imo
its worth it for all sonic games and streets of rage 2.
another plus is that you can run them fullscreen unlike some
of the xblive arcade ports.

Yeah, I've been playing the exact same games in rom format,
hah. I've just finished sonic 1 and 2, playing sonic CD
before moving on to sonic 3, and have downloaded streets of
rage 1-3 in preparation for a beat-em-up fest. :)

And there was me thinking that generally spekaing the Xbox
360 was aimed at more 'serious' gamers... :)

Good suggestions- I will check them all out, thanks guys!

I don't have Live here, cos the net connection is crap, but
when I go back to uni (end of Sept) I should have a faster
connection, at which point I will be able to download these
other kick-ass ports! it is good to know that the Xbox is
not just about the games you buy in shops, but is also
capable of running other cool stuff like 'retro' games such
as Sonic.

Once again, cheers for the info! ^^

RezHD, Ikaruga & Geometry Wars Evolved are essential.

There are rumors Goldeneye 64 is coming to Xbox Live Arcade
which would be the greatest news in the history of gaming.

Goldeneye. Woweee. I will kick anybody's arse at that game.

It's been talked about for a while now. A recent photo for
some dashboard theme Rare is releasing showed one of those
little game icon picture things for a Perfect Dark
re-release so I don't see why Goldeneye won't get the same
treatment unless there's some licensing shit to contend
with.
