hello your thoughts needed on media, fame and tv channels n
stuff!

lots of famous people were created in the 50's'60's70's 80;
90's 00's
using minimal channels compared to how many we have today.

It seems that to be famous or send a message to a wide
audience will be near impossible in the future...the
internet is amazing you can find people that share interests
but at the same time it separates us into millions of little
groups....and that the big channels bbc nbc etc are losing
more and more viewers as people realise they can be better
entertained searching youtube and the many other video audio
and info channels/websites for things they like personally

..so .. it seems to me that the big stars elvis, jackson
madaona etc,as they all die away there will be no living
mega stars or maybe even slighly famous people? except for
tom off myspace the starwars kid, presidents and god.

in the future everyone will have there own channel ( like
youtube).
and the average viewership will be a bout 4 viewers.

will we be seperated and unable to communicate to a wide
audience in the future?
this seems to be a great thing for multi nationals and
governments.but is this really good for us?

what of children in need? comic relief? the starving in
africa? they totally relied on the big channels for charity
appeals.

offer thoughts on all this please. :)

the internet essentially decentralized everything.
no longer do you need a corporation or media outlet to
release music or video, you can do it yourself and have it
instantly accessible globally.
i think as piracy heightens, corporations might not feel
like its productive to release cd's anymore, and they may
just stop ultimately.
if this happens it will happen as you say.. music will be
decentralized and no one will ever reach the heights of
michael jackson. word of mouth would be king.

i think we havent seen a really big star like the old celebs
in the past 5 years.. maybe its already happening.
as peoples focus shift from television and big media corps
onto the internet and user created content, the shift you
speak of will happen.

everyone will be famous for fifteen people

everyone will be famous for 15 million pageviews

everyone will be famous for 15Mb

The first one, the Momus one, is actually worth reading.
