Turn the anger into remorse, then go to bed very early.

It's when i'm forced by my own poor actions to look at
myself in disgust that i hate.

I just hate my job, that's really all there is to it. The
peace of being alone and doing what you want is really
uplifting.

change jobs , dont work at anything you hate doing unless it
does real good for others. like building respiratory
machines for children who are ill ( it might be a tough job
but dont give up on that...

however if it seems completely pointless. give up and make
more awesome music and busk in the street with your midi
keyboard and watch all the money fall at your feet.

yeah, keep an eye out for other jobs, i know it's hard to
make that transition once you get into a pattern, but if you
find something better it's worth trying.

I sort of hate my job too, it's just people, I think i hate
people in general don't like small talk and wearing a mask
to fit in. so i just ignore people allot and they most
likely think i'm a cunt, but the trick is not to care..

THINGS WILL FEEL BETTER. no

Yeah, here's the thing:

my whole Job/School/Career ... I live with my mom and
stepfather, and my stepfather is my boss. I work in Detroit
in the Eastern Market doing the shittiest job. (cutting and
wrapping shrink-wrapped pallettes full of boxes of meat for
the USDA) Needless to say, i come home smelling like
butthole and i've started turning into a blob because of my
laziness due to the lack of energy i have to do anything
when i get home from a work day that starts at 61:00 a.m.

I have an inflated paycheck which i've already protested
but got ignored about. I've already had opportunities to
move out, and i was very close about a month ago, except my
mother and stepfather disagreed with my choice. They said i
would not be strict enough with myself to get up for work at
5:00 a.m. in the morning and do my homework. I eventually
gave in to stay because i figured i only have 2 more years
of school left, and after that i will be ready and secure
enough to do anything and have the right to not give a fuck
what they say anymore.

Plus i will hopefully have a better paying job, that pays
more so i can actually live in a decent pad and sustain a
life.

Though, it's true, my stepfather provided me with a job, and
his company is paying for my tuition. Which both i am very
grateful for! I come to work early even when i have a fucked
up schedule and i live 45 minutes away from Detroit. I've
been doing fucking proper in school for Illustration and i
have about $7,000 a year in Scholarships.

But all of this and i still am pissed half of the time
because i know if i don't leave that fucking job, i'll end
up settling for that piece of crap work that i disagree with
because it's the only thing i'll be used to.

I feel that in this world i wouldn't want to try and live
off of making music, maybe art though because the work is
more plentiful and you can get so much more money out of
people. No offense, i mean i don't even know why people pay
so much for art.

offline pulseclock from Downtown 81 on 2009-07-19 14:06 [#02307838]

6:00 a.m.*

Oh and i forgot to add that the people i work with are
mostly all fucking mentally stunted. Except the younger
people like me who actually might have a chance if they do
something with themselves.

I have maybe one person i know outside of this messageboard
who likes my music enough to want to promote it.

It just doesn't seem realistic. I would love to, but things
are far from stable enough in that area for me to pursue it.
I mean trying to make money making music that sounds like
shit people were making 10 or more years ago really doesn't
seem real lucrative.

I wonder what you consider real problems to be.

you're sitting here bitching about things not being good
enough.

have it at the mo'.

no i'm not bitching, i'm explaining my situation and why i
feel angry.

You think the location you live someehow represents how good
your life is?

You're a fucking imbecile, who thinks people are "cool"
cause they live in michigan. Just like stupid pricks who
afraid when they hear some one is from "The D." Yeah cause
they're all gangster.

Bitching would be to be like you right now and irrationally
lash out because of your own inablitiy to explain yourself
clearly.

"Grow the fuck up"

Fuck you i'm 20 years old. I'm grown enough as i'll ever be.
I've met people who are well in their 50's who can show you
what "bitching" really is.

So again, Fuck off. No one said you had to post in this
thread.

What do you want me to use some of these :) ?

Fuck, i'm sorry that i don't share your personality.

I did say i was grateful for my job.

I can see that you're much older and probably more bitter so
in that case i was wrong to think anyone was older would be
of any help.

I really don't give a shit if you think i'm spoiled.

could it be you're a little upset with your stepdad, your
mom, but most importantly yourself? you know it's no the
coworkers or anyone else. grumpy people project their own
misfortune and fears onto others. aren't you too young for
that? go outside, stick out your arm, then rotate yourself a
couple times, stop. where is your arm pointing? take a
bicycle ride that way, until you can't go any longer, then
ride back.

offline pulseclock from Downtown 81 on 2009-07-19 14:55 [#02307885]
Points: 6015 Status: Lurker

I agree, i'm the one who's feeling the shit, so it must be
me. But there are outside factors that add to it.

Rad smiles, if you'll forgive my almost automatic
inclination to be a bitchy cock about shit,

can you possibly tell me what to do when i get angry or
upset? How did you release your frustration at that young
age? What should i do about my spoiled attitude.

I'm asking you, knowing htat i might get a big "fuck you" in
response, so come on, give some advice, the whiney fag
spoiled shit just pissed off my ego.

you should keep your job with your stepdad while you can but
try to do something with your art in the meantime. it's
seriously good enough to get something in a gallery, a
magazine, or something. jobs are hard to come by right now
tho and plus you have some extra job security because its
family.
