i'm still stuck in 2008 so far.

2009 i like : Phoenix, Wolfgang amadeus phoenix (they're
even playing the tangerine dream game on "Love like a
sunset") + Alva noto, Xerrox2 (nice electronic drones) +
Boom blaster by aleksi perala.

didnt check the latest Hecker on mego. the Sunno))) live
tape sounds great. the Biosphere live album is nice even if
sometimes predictable but still good. i'm waiting for the
vinyl edition of the latest Sunno))) album, should be dope.

I've only just got into Drexciya properly recently, so
catching up with their massive discography. Other than the 4
Rephlex releases/some dubstep plates, I havent listened to
much from this year.

Tim Exile 'The Listening Tree' was pretty good. Wiley's new
album 'Race Against Time' is awesome, but maybe not to many
peoples tastes on here. There's also a rap album by JR
Writer called 'Cinecrack', but I really doubt anyone
on here would like that stuff. Cheap sounding 808 driven
southern-style beats with some incredible gun/crack/i'm
awesome metaphors.

Other than that, pretty bad year. But everyday I must
download about 10 albums from the past which I missed so no
problem really.

... and Matt Berry's "Witch Hazel" ... "The Badger's
Wake"... what a swell guy.

No.... I haven't got a BEAN to spend on ... beans let alone
B12 re-releases. I went off of them with that Last Days of
Silence album, I thought it was dreadful, I don't know, I'm
a bit hot and cold... I would like the extra tracks off of
the rereleases, and in the ideal world I'd have collected
them, but... but.. it's not an ideal world.

I've been a little out of the loop this year regarding music
and I actually think its been quite disappointing so far.
Highlights for me:

Albums:

36 - Hypersona
Alva Noto - Xerrrox Vol 2
Bizzy B - Retrospective
Celer - Engaged Touches

12" Singles/EPs:

Joker - Do It / Psychedelic Runway
Debonaire - Watch Me Now
Remerge - Vol 3

I genuinely have enjoyed 36's Hypersona a lot. Was "The
Secret Admirer" this year or the increasingly fuxxy '08?
That's another good album.
