"if you were to get jivverdicker and a person with creative ability locked in a room with a keyboard..." whatever the outcome jivver would still, to be fair, make it sound more bassy.

Haha I am sorry JivverDicker that my thoughts make you feel that way.
It's funny you say that though, someone else has told me that my thoughts make them feel as if they are emerging from a tomb while a mouse hands them a chocolate chip cookie!

Actually cygnus you are talking about the function, and whatever symmetrical balance that you see, that nature possesses.
I was talking about Peter Jones and his involvement with Jacque Fresco's "Venus Project"
If there's a struggle there it's not "nature's" doing. Unless you consider everything to be nature, and if you do than i'm sorry but you sir are an idiot.

i see some people here think that when two male animals fight each other to death over a female, there's absolutely no competition involved, only "the balance of nature"
....bunch of deluded friggin hippies

We're having a gang bang We're having a ball We're having a gang bang Against the wall We'd like you to join us It's part of the fun! Oh a gang bang is the thing to do But it takes more than one
A gang bang is a game we play It's something of joke It's lots of hokey-pokey Less hokes and lots of pokes It's for the girls and for the boys It livens up the night It's better when you're crowded And when you're packed in tight
CHORUS
And now the action's taking place I'm ready for my fill It's up to expectations And it's going further still But don't be greedy, share it out It's time to try some more So find a friend, play the game That's what a gang bang's for!
CHORUS (x4)
A gang bang is the thing to do We'd like to give you one

Weak mindedness doesn't necessarily relate to those who watch conspiracy (for lack of a better term) videos. Gullible maybe, but contrary to it's connotation,Gullibility is a quality needed to discover the new plains of reality. Intellectual journeys need to start somewhere.

Ummmm... Where do I start. Competition is practically the only thing that is fundamental in nature. It is what allows each species to maintain its evolutionary foothold. You say that spiders don't compete, that they only use their poison to kill for food. However a lot of spiders are territorial and will attack other predatory insects that enter into their hunting area.
According to the Free Online Dictionary, competition is this;
5. Ecology The simultaneous demand by two or more organisms for limited environmental resources, such as nutrients, living space, or light.
So your saying that if two separate families of [choose one: humans, hyenas, lions, deer, etc] saw a [insert preferred foodstuffs here], that they would calmly sit down and share that foodstuff amongst each other?
Likewise, if you have a pack of wolves that do not have a pack leader, that they wouldn't compete amongst each other until one of them were to out power them all, thereby getting deemed the alpha?
What about caribou during mating season? They will compete amongst each other to gain access to the females.
Human competition has evolved somewhat, but at the end of the day its all the same thing.

what factors are involved in the advancement and development of new technology ? what drives it forward? of course there is a demand for these things, but what makes us build a space shuttle to go into space? is it just curiosity and a quest for scientific discovery?, could it also be the competing with other engineers that drives them to do better?. perhaps by conditioning humans to be less competative or aggressive will produce passive uninteractive people with little creativity, which could be the end of humanity.
2 businesses compete to make the best waffles, the more they try the better the waffles taste. so by being competative you get a tasty mother fucking waffle.
any questions?

Yeah. Human being went into space as a direct result of a competition between the united states and the soviet union.
