Hi im Paul Im a music lover and im trying to get into music - specifically electronic music at the moment. Its an area that is a little light in my CD collection and I need to plug some gaps. Some elstronic musicians I admire: Moby, Ace of Bass, Todd Rundgren, in/off, Hall and oates, la musiue du dusseldorf, kenny blanco, Yanni, Peter Parker, The Ziffs, kingston du pre 86 . Now I was given an recording by my daughter for my birthday by aphex twins i thought it was HORRID it made me want to punch something. it made my ears bleed ! I have done a google search about this particular "artist" and I found this website so I would like to ask what the hell kind of drugs does one have to be on to listen to this gak? I just also was given a recording by an electronic musician calling himselof aurtechre which isnt even music ! I could have made the same noise by banging my head off the wall ! god knows it would probably be more entertaining. Really this isnt music so could any one here who knows anything abot "good" music please recommend me some alectronic music that I can actually listen and not be assualted by ? something something and calm like moby or some of fatboy slimes more uptempo numbers can really make me wild and want to party. I have a barbecue with the neighbors comeing up and I want to impress my neighbors wife who is into this kind of music becauce I think I am in love with her and maybe we can run away together. Anyway Im rambeling but if you know anything about this electronic music (like a post-op giorgio moroder) something i can shake my booty to and really get down none of these herky jerky rhythms and soulless ironic humor I just want something that will make sheila see me for the man that i am and not the lame middle aged jerk she thinks i am, but truly this kind of "music" Is just giving me headache I think it might fall off if i listen much more so if you can give advice me that would really be splendid thanking you in advance and in perpetuity throughout the universe your friend paul. x |
