if you are getting a full HD set, the ps3 would be nice as it has a bluray included. Then again, the xbox has a bunch of fantastic games and it's LOTS cheaper. The games will look excellent on any LCD/Plasma set. Don't forget to buy an HDMI cable. |

Yeah pretty much what J198 says. If you want to watch films in super quality and don't buy games that often go with the PS3. Despite its high price tag it is an excellent Blu Ray player for the money and has a few wonderful exclusives (Uncharted, Little Big Planet, MGS4). If you want to buy and play a lot of games, especially online, I recommend you go with the 360. Its library is immense, the third party titles look just as good (in some cases better) as on PS3 and its got lots of ace exclusives. Plus if you sign up to xbox live you can have the wonderful experience of having horsefactory kick your arse at Street Fighter IV. |

Yes but what you get above all else is dedicated servers, which make the world of difference on some games. |

The 360 is relatively cheap these days and has a lot of games so i got that and will wait a while for the prices to drop before getting the ps3. On the long term i guess the ps3 will be the better console though. |

i say get the XBOX 360 arcade version, it's like 150 w/o the hardrive. Then get the PS3 when they drop the price hopefully, the ps3 for it's bluray alone is sweet, but as said before, xbox's features, online setup and library is awesome. |

yah i got the RROD, but fortunately my box was covered over that warranty extension they gave everyone so i was able to send it in and have it repaired no cost. |
