grabbing AUDIO from youtube/liveleak etc

please how can i do this.

NOTE: I don't want to download the whole video, then open up
an app to take out the audio. I want there to be as few
steps as possible in between hearing something i want to
sample and stuffing the sound in a folder ready for use in
ableton

thanks precious

you can use any free FF extension to rip youtube videos, and
then ungroep the sound and video in apps the likes of Adobe
Premiere or Sony Vegas

Or just set ableton to record your soundcard/stereo mix.
Play youtube video and record it directly in.

Enjoy!

I'm a big fan of Totoro. A big, big fan.

I was cynical the first time I watched it. This was years
ago. I'd never heard of mr Miyazaki before, and didn't
really feel like watching anything, really.

But do you remember the moment they arrive at the house and
the girls are playing around with a wooden pillar, and
pieces of wood falls down from the roof, and you're
expecting something dramatic to happen? But their father
doesn't even get angry, and they run away and Mei begins to
sneeze. All that cynicism just ... vanished like a soot
sprite.

Hayao Miyazaki, Mamoru Oshii, and Kim Ki-Duk (a korean) has
revolutionized the way I think and relate to movies.

I really can't say that Mononoke is my fav, not because it
isn't my fav, but because all his work keeps on growing on
me.

When it comes to the core-stuff with something I'm
interested in, I seem to lose my ability to define myself.
This happens all the time, so I'll shut up now. Otherwise
I'll just keep on rambling. :D

What's your fav?

It's sort of impossible to pick a favourite. But I'd put
them in this loose order categories:

Howl's (prob my fave)
Mononoke (first I saw, so holds a special place in my
heart)
Totoro (sooooooo fucking cute)

Spirited Away
Kiki's

Porco Rosso
Whisper of the Heart (not Miyazaki)
Only Yesterday (not Miyazaki)

I also have Yamadas, Pom Poko, The Cat Returns. I like them
a lot, but not as much as the above ones.

I've got Laputa, but not keen at all really. Haven't seen
Earthsea (heard not great) or Fireflies (heard good, and
much darker). Also, cant wait to see the new Miyazaki one,
Ponyo.

Haha I love you're description of the Totoro moment...you're
so right about it just being suchj a positive film. All that
childish imagination and mystery just being a comfort
mechanism for the girls to settle into a new home. But in
the end...the fruit/corn whatever, is on the window sill.
It's real!!

These films are so special because they just immerse you so
totally. More than modern Disney & Pixar (although I loved
Wall E... western animation just can't compete)

As for Oshii, I've seen the first Ghost in the Shell; but
not heard of Ki-Duk before. Any film by him you reccommend
more than others?

I had just finished writing some convincing arguments why
Oshii deserves more credit as a director, rather than as a
philosopher or as being difficult, when xltronic told me
that I hadn't logged in. And the text disappeared. Arrgh!
Let's settle with the fact that Stanley Kubrick has called
him a "genius" (true story). ;)

Anyways, so, yes, Kim Ki-Duk. I really recommend '3-Iron',
'Bad Guy', 'Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter... and Spring' and
'The Isle'. '3-Iron' and 'Spring, Summer' are among his
lighter work. I love them all, though, 'Bad Guy' and 'The
Isle' (especially) are very intense, so you should probably
begin with '3-Iron' and 'Spring, Summer'.

Grghrgh, I've lost all energy. I've been sitting here,
writing this message for at least half an hour, and now ...
it's all gone.

Haha. Don't worry dude. It's best I just check out some more
films from those two.

Let me know if you see Earthsea or Pinyo, and tell me what
you think.

Hah. :)

Yeah, well, you'll have to tell me all about it.

That's the rules, man. The rules.

Isn't it Miyazaki's son that had made it?

Yeh I believe it was. Apparently he had a bad relationship
with his son, because he was so immersed in his work. But
now his son grows up to be just like him! Strange.

With a little luck he'll be the next Miyazaki, so to speak,
if Hayao Miyazaki would quit. Though I doubt he would.

I mean, Mononoke was suppose to be his last film.

convert
make sure you type in the generic extension to the link that
makes clips stereo/higher quality
