what the fuck, what does this have to do iwht ldpinch?
sounds almost nothing like it. i agree with pidgin, sounds
like a bad squarepusher b-side from hello everything.

it's an arrangement of that tune for guitar, played
sloppily. what part don't you understand?

it's so loosely arranged, it hardly has any relationship
with the original at all. i don't get the point, really. i
guess it's the same with songs that are "remixes" while just
being an entirely new song. why not just attribute it to
something else at that point?

I retract, this is not interesting, sorry.

... and they said it couldn't be done.

it's the internet, we overanalyze everything, appropriate
everything, regurgitate everything, and we are obsessed with
both novelty and microvariation. we answer nonexistent
questions.

as far as the arrangement goes, it seems to me that there's
a significant history of radical rearrangement, especially
in jazz. to me the melodic motifs are instantly
recognizable in this arrangement. in any given potential
arrangement, there's no black and white division between
radical rearrangement and new composition.

seems weird to ask "what's the point?" because this clip
represents what we do, all the time, everywhere. it's cool
if you don't like it, anyway.

and now my improvisation on an enigma interpolating the
third track from the lithuanian release of the greatest hits
of staz and the razzle dazz arranged for ass-kazoo and
thumbscrew piano...

I like this. not for being an AFX-cover but I like the
chords!
