me either. he doesn't overuse it, imo
however most clark threads tend towards discussing compression, which is funny

havent heard this album much yet, but rainbow voodoo is rather cool/funny and growls garden is one of the better tunes released lately.
rumours says clark is playing in bergen in september:)

i think growls garden is the most likable thing he's done in a long while but honestly i couldn't listen to a whole clark album. it's funny listening back to empty the bones of you- - - it seems to delicate and actually listenable compared to the last few albums he's done.
Is he the "michael bay of idm"? That's a fairly rank accolade=D

im really not that into growls garden. cold ship of light lyrics drown out the bland-as-it-is melody. when it kicks its not too bad but it dosnt kick proper and there isnt really anything that makes the track special. its not shit, its just not that good. wolves crew is good why cant people like that chunky beat movement?

Yes he does. He says that he has enough tracks for the next three years if he wanted. Sounds like incredible quality control to me. He's no where near VSnares level of output. He said in a recent interview that he has songs that he sometimes wishes he put on the album instead. He makes music all day, every day so he's going to have shitloads of music and I'm glad I get to hear more of it every year. He would be sitting on a mountain of tracks if he only released every 2-3 years.
Plus Totems Flare is a great album.

Clark is the best at IDMs and this album, though like all of his others I've not listened to, I think (probably) is the best album to buy if you're producing music in your bedroom to aspire to making an album like Totem Nob. Maybe you could up the ante by pushing the compression up to 12 and doing even shorter tracks and then selling 8 copies to your 19 friends.

Thanks. I looked at HMV but their information on the special edition is very scant, so I sent an e-mail and will find out for sure.
Amazon Japan has it, but holy shit the S&H is as much as the CD itself! Even CDJapan (where I got the Quaristice and Turning Dragon imports) didn't charge that much.

Unfortunately, at $35 it's way much more than I was willing to spend.
Guess I'll stick with the standard US edition. It's in a digipac isn't it? Damn, I hate those things!

kitty cat food00003 : yeah thats the name of the track, i supppose, dont know if it has a translation of not
how much hve you paid for other jap. editions of clark and/or anything...
digipacs are genreally ok, as long as they dont have a ton of folds for dvd inserts, lyrics and the like, in that case GOD KNOWS why they dont just do thte plastic package for that, the crazy cardboard ones alway go to shit
fuckers.

If I remember correctly I didn't pay more than 25 to 26 dollars for Dragon and Quaristice each. There was a Mouse On Mars japan CD that I bought years ago for $30, the highest I ever paid for a single CD.
Digipacs can be flimsy, and I hate taking care for them. I know I could always download, but I'm old-skool and like the physical formats. Not ready to go completely mp3 on everything yet.
I suspect the bonus track is the 11+ minute "Chill Out DJ", which is on the iTunes version of Totem's Flare.
