THE GENIUS OF FLASHBULB

The man is a living legend. He fuses new age/world music
with guitar/techno.

Don't get me started on his acid tracks!!!

Man, he is so underestimated.

He is Northe America's Aphex twin.

I love Benn's music with all my heart.

His tracks just need more bass and compression.

Good non-acid albums by benn:

-M³ (Brown #12 is an outstanding track)
-Kirlian Selections
-Red Extensions of Me

Although I have yet to here a release of his I didn't enjoy.

I still can't say that i enjoy The Flashbulb fully, i mostly
dislike his drill stuff.. A bit like my love/hate for
µ-ziq, his melody compositions are amazing, but most of the
time his beats just ruin it for me.

I played a show with him once. He was really nice to us and
the promoters. A guy in his teens was there, huge fan of FB,
wanted his autograph but was to scared to approach him. I
was like "Fuck man come on" so I drag him back stage and
shove him basically right in front of flashbulb. "Hey this
guy really likes your shit can he get an autograph ?!" :D

He took pictures with all of us and was an ideal person to
book. Gave us a deal on the show too. Ben Jordan came of as
a real gent. Even watched our awful sets before his !

I don;'t know the guy personally or anything but that night
we all had a pretty good time !

The Human Action Network & Acidwolf pseudonyms pwn his
Flashbulb persona. Welcome To Chicago is seriously ill.
That being said, his latest album is so shitty I want to
kill. Red extensions is pretty good. I met him too, but he
seemed more douchey than gent.

you can dig-up some gold out of his music-mine.
and most of the tracks you either love or hate instantly,
so everybody who hasnt checked him: go get some!
id recommend you try b4 buy and start with:
girls suck but you dont & music from my laptop.

didn't he troll around here or watmm some time ago?

all I've heard is the Human Action Network cd. and while
it's well produced, sounds more like he's trying to emulate
the Tuss on much of it.

I must admit that the Human Action Network - Welcome to
Chicago album is quite good. Everybody who like Ceephax may
take a listen.

i'm actually suprised i like it. Generally, i don't like his
production : you can hear too many presets sounds,
everything sound like a music-software demo. I get the same
feeling with lasts venetian Snares albums.

get the soul back in IDM !!!

The most conservative sounding IDM artist I think I've
heard. I don't think I've ever heard someone bite such a
wide variety of talent either. He should hire himself
out as a human VST, the plagiaristic boob.

VOICE OF SANITY

flashbulb is reasonably well-produced, shitty soulless
music. and I have two of his albums. it's like own-brand
squarepusher or something. all of the production with none
of the feeling.

Oh loveeee...his last two or three albums under flashbulb
are incredible. All the way through. So underrated. People
only hate him in the IDM 'community' because most of them
were raped by stringed instruments as children.

I say we prop up Benn's music, in protest of the delusional
hatred people show to the "copycats"

literally fucking electronic music up the arse, all this
territorial crap.
