Need tips to help me sleep, I work night shift so getting
to sleep in the day is a right kick in the cunt, any ideas?

When I was working nights (and thus sleeping during the
day), I used about 20 thumbtacks to hold a thick comforter
over my window, which kept most of the light out and could
be tucked back if I wanted to let light in. If you don't
want your window covered you could get one of those sleep
eye masks and look like goldie hawn's mom in overboard.

i'm doin' night shifts from 8 years. when you get back home
avoid eating (drinking herbal tea might help), computers,
tvs and powerful lights. pick a book, or listen to some
ambient music while lying on the bed. of course do not think
that you have to sleep but you can't, just relax and when
your body feels that its time, turn off the light, close
your eyes and relax, relax, relaxxzzzzzzz......

try 50mg of diphenhydramine hcl when you go to sleep.
personally i don't recommend cannabis because your sleep is
then less productive. get the diphenhydramine in
non-prescription allergy tablets, read the labels. it's far
more expensive if you purchase the tablets marketed
specifically as a sleep aid (in the united states). an
alternative is a prescription drug called trazodone (in the
us); insomnia is an off label use for this medication in the
us, talk to your doctor about treating insomnia (trazodone
is much less habit forming than most sleep aids and
generally mild side effects).
