I think It'll be nice to know which are our RDJ favourite songs. I know it's difficult, Richard D. James did too many beautiful songs but we can try. I'd like to know your favourite six songs in the right order, I ask you to do an accurate selection. Hmm, thats too darn tough , but I'll give it a try... 1.Xtal/UZ-IUS... 2.Girl/Boy....Blue Calx. 3.Yellow Calx/Mold.. 4.Icct Hedral/Flim... 5.Laughable Butane Bulb/Matchsticks. 6.AB5-song no.8/Selected Amb Disc 2. number 2.( sorry, its early in the morning and I forgot its title).. So there ya have it there Woofer , and I know I cheated, but my favorites truly change every week or so, since I love most of RDJ's stuff. The only true constistant favorite stuff shall always be something off Selected Ambient Works Vol.2, and its probably funnily enough my most played Aphex CD out of his whole collection ( and I own all of his stuff commercially released and a fair bit of the rare stuff)... |

My brother when he was my age, who is about 6 years older than me, used to listen to Alberto Balsalm every morning when he woke up when he was my age (17), he had it on loop. When I I hadn't heard it for years, then when I was about 13 I would just sing it, all day long, having no idea what it is. I would hum it in class, on the way home, at home. My brother one day heard me and said "Hey you getting into Aphex Twin", I said "Aphex What?"...and thus, my love for aphex, and all IDM was born. |
