as far as i know, there are only transcodes of 128kbps or so
circulating. i'll download this and check the spectrals.

i'm sure a lot of people don't care and will listen to it
anyway.

I don't care that it's a transcode since I'm buying this
anyway when it's out. Btw, this transcode has sounds like it
has a greater dynamic range than my own v0 rip of playing
the angel so I think I'm safe to say that sounds of the
universe has been mastered more carefully than the
compression-disaster that is playing the angel. The songs
are pretty good as well. I look forward to seeing them live
this summer. :D

I actually enjoy this record. It's very well produced for
one. And martin is trying something new with the songwriting
and although he has nothing new to say anymore he doesn't
bore you to death with his routine or anything. If you turn
it up a bit it sounds awesome. The sound is warmer here than
on the previous albums, not to mention how much better
mastered it is compared to playing the angel! I can't wait
to progress from this transcode to the original product.
Cheers!

best album since violator, doesnt rely on production and
special effects. the songwriting is superb. it was such a
nice surprise.

worst album in their catalogue, the bonus discs sound like
they could be more exciting

just got it now, ok on first listen but I think it will be a
grower.

Surprised by how 80's some bits sound, if I had to compare
it with another album of theirs i'd say Violator. Its
produced beautifully, lots of layers.

No real stand outs so far, going to listen to it again, this
time a bit louder.
