most people (i make no difference here) expect artists to deliver a certain style. i like having a listen to new music without any bias, so i dig it when known people make some sort of spin-off under an alias now and then. i long for new artists and look around aswell... and id rather be delighted by a nice output of a newcomer, than be disappointed by releases of my faves. |

Juan Atkins is emblematic of this covert approach to music making, enabling him to an untroubled inventive approach to music itself. Underground Resistance (most ortodox Drexciya and Dopplereffekt) proved this attitude's bearing as a movement. So acid 2.0 is this new analord genre? All these insipid genre names... Is analord something new rather than something retrospective? Acid is all about tweaking synths, not only the 303 – Gerald Simpson has cleared that out once and for all. I don't see added and improved digital technology as a musical change. But the article has some bearing on fanboy sociology. The genre name analord wasn't invented or hasn't even been mentioned alot on this board.
