Does anyone know the origin of this name?

I think it's some sort of organisation in canada.
I did a search one time and came to some organisation site
but i didn't really understand what it was.

I wonder what their rational for choosing the name was.

I think they used to watch these films from the boards of
canada education people (or something). Hence the name.

short nature films that are usually about one animinal with
some crazy flute in the backround that scared me when i was
young

its from "The National Film Board of Canada" which makes
awesome experimental short films and documentaries and
animation. Supposedly they watched tons of these movies when
they were young and living in alberta. The track on Geogaddi
with leslie nielsen talking is from a NFB movie and so is
the Energy Warning if im not mistaken.
