Someone I know is trying to uninstall wavelab but is
prompted that INSTALL.LOG is missing. Anyone run into this
error before?

I don't, uninstalling wavelab is an error by itself...

still using 4.0 but i've never had any real problems...
install.log is obviously just a list of everything that
happened during installation but i assume the uninstall
needs the list to know what to remove if it's getting arsey
about it. maybe try a reinstall over the top of this one and
then uninstall. just don't tell us he's going with fucking
audacity instead
