Just seen it. It's a good movie, almost excellent, but then just normal cinema – the first Aronofsky movie that doesn't change film media.
I don't agree that he doesn't understand human emotion. The Fountain is heart aching. Perhaps The Wrestler, in every respect, is the most shallow of his movies. Still a great achievement, and loads of fun.

except, she sould not give it 4/5, but rather 1/5 because she has to enjoy the content of a movie to give it a good rating. i loved it myself.

Reqiuem for a Dream definately cut the edge of editing tempo and body microscopics. He had many followers. I found The Fountain likewise original in computer game aesthetics and anti new age irony courage. Yes.
