i didn't read the bullshit on that page and i'll try to
appreciate the music for what it really is.

"On "Deathwanderings," Procer Veneficus appropriates
drifting fugues from Chopin, Satie and Schubert and
distorts them into beautiful smears of wistful
ambience. These are pieces that, Derek notes, have
" been examined, assembled, and deconstructed into
cavernous resonance. Originally intended for use as
a soporific, this is music for worlds of ice constructed
in the deepest recesses of the mind, and for wanderings
at the threshold of death." Not a million miles off from
recent Andrew Chalk recordings, and gorgeous as all hell."

ambience"

that utter chod is reason alone to not listen to this.

I can see why someone would like this, but it isn't for me.

It isn;t relaxing- it is kinda menacing and vaguely scary.
If ambient isn;t relaxing I don't really see what enjoyment
I could get out of it. It's not crap, though- quite
interesting.

i'm sorry i just thought "Procer Veneficus appropriates
drifting fugues from Chopin, Satie and Schubert and
distorts them into beautiful smears of wistful
ambience" was a bit pathetic.

It's just promoting the album. The people/ person that made
the music prolly didn't even write that...

Fairplay then! ^^

Like I said, it is interesting and well made, so I can see
why someone would like it. It's just not for me.

Then again, I guess it'd kinda cool to listen to music that
evokes scary scenes late at night and has you looking over
your shoulder every 5 mins. Lol- I might give it another
try! :D

well no shit. 10 points to captain obvious. hell, i might
even let you wear the observation hat, as your powers of
perception clearly excel the average human. despite what you
rather smartly pointed out to the rest of use dimwits, it
doesnt excuse the shear pomposity of it, let alone the fact
it doesnt seem to bear any likeness to the music it is
actually describing.

I have to say I've never seen a fugue by either Chopin,
Satie or Schubert and I have a lot of sheet music by all of
'em. Out of the three Schubert seems the most likely to have
written a fugue or two but I've never seen one.
