Anyone enjoy some ambient in the day/night? When and what do you enjoy when you listen to ambient?
I love listening to Biosphere's Substrata when im really tired or "burnt out" from whatever that night... beer, weed, sex.. blah blah blah. Its so relaxing! When I go to mexico after this summer with my girlfriend I can only imagine listening to it while looking out the plane windows... oh god.. bliss!
In the last couple months of my life, ive come to REALLY like ambient music. Please.. share.

I have been listening to a lot of ambient music in the last 2 years or so, a lot of it from the kranky label. It's not electronic ambient, but guitar drones and feedback, etc.
flying saucer attack, labradford, aix em klemm, stars of the lid, windy and carl
if anyone's interested, I could list out some good tracks and albums.
I like Biosphere as well ...

Biosphere is excellent, I first got turned onto them after hearing their remix of Attalal on Download's Microscopic EP.
I tend to enjoy ambient music at night when all is quiet. Just to drop a name i'll suggest some Lustmord.

I've found that my favorite ambient is from Brian Eno and Harold Budd. I am also starting to get into a lot of Lexaunculpt. Very peaceful stuff.

I think Biosphere's The Shield is one of the coolest and most Sci-Fi tracks ever. I've been trying to get that special noisy feel into my own music, but it ain't that easy.

I love Ambient, I like to listen to it half awake/half asleep through my headphones in bed. Substrata is also my favourite. I like Ambient even better when I record the CD to tape first, it makes the sounds softer and nicer. Give that a try.
Some suggestions: - Rapoon: Fires of the Borderlands - Coil: Astral Disaster - Brian/Roger Eno: Apollo

ive been listening to ambient a lot lately myself... i listen to it a lot at night whilst lying in bed...but have begun listening to it more often recently...
i actually just got harold budd's 'the room' which is one of the nicest ambient albums ive heard in a while..along with the stuff he did with brian eno..
another great ambient album i would recommend is rotor+'s 'aileron'...its not completely ambient...there are some beats..but theyre pretty subtle and minimalistic

i listen to ambient and electronic music everyday, i reccomend "Waiting for Cousteau" by jean michel jarre, its 47 mins of some of the best ambient music there is imho... also good old Brian Eno and obviously Aphex Twin are brilliant...
Listen to ambient music in the dark at night the atmosphere just occupies the whole room ,,,,i think the idea of using music to create an atmosphere or an ambience or focusing on creating new sounds in the music is simply best described as kick ass..
