The War On Democracy by John Pilger

Retrospect of American imperialism in central America. Talks
about Hugo, United foods, and gives example of the media
bias that follows.

We're not global leaders anymore. The rest of the world is
just waiting for our empire to inevitably collapse so that
they can carry on freely without the weight of our socialist
warmongering on their shoulders.

We had a chance to show the world that free market
capitalism, civil liberties, and freedom worked. But
instead, we intervened in Central/South America, the Middle
East, and south Asia, destroyed our currency with central
banking, ignored our Constitution, domestically spied on our
own citizens, and are now imploding from the inside. What an
example we set. No wonder the rest of the world is becoming
socialist - we blazed that trail!

We can still fix this problem!
