I downloaded it too, but stupid vista screws up most games that run in dx8 or earlier. Can't play it. :[

yo right click on the .exe, properties, compatibility tab, set compatibility for win 95.

yeah, I tried that. I even installed the XP patch for the game, which is supposed to make the compatibility options work. The problem for (most) vista users seems to be that those old programs need .ini tweaks or whatever so that they are rendered using d3d9. This is how I got fallout 2 working in vista, and neverhood seems to have the exact same issue as fallout.
