well, i'm a huge carl craig fan & i love
classical/orchestral music but i dont know, i'm not crazy
about it.

craig's music is more suited for the jazz experience, i
guess.

i could have said that in theoriginal thread as well, but
i'm to lazy to check

It's awful. I'm a massive Carl Craig fan, but his tracks
just don't work in a classical setting (same with 99.9% of
electronic artists)

At Les was completely butchered. Desire too, but it got a
little better towards the end. Oh and it seems CC's only
input was to move the fader on the kickdrum up and down.

Oh well, it had Moritz there, so that is always a bonus.

there is one recent exemple of brillant electronics Vs
orchestral music : the latest dvd/cd by alva noto & ryuichi
sakamoto. but its a original piece created for/with the
orchestra.

also, i've heard CC latest cd (done with moritz von O.), his
reworking of classical materials : its not bad at all,
they're playing loops of ravel & co. its out on DG.
