I just bought a download of the fantastic Sun Electric
compilation "Lost and Found (1998 - 2000)", compiling tracks
that were not released before the duo "split up".

I think lost and found is such a great record that I also
want to get hold of "Present" and "Via Nostra" but I can't
seem to find a decent download anywhere... Can anyone help
me? I want them NOW!

I've always loved "Kitchen" and "Aaahhhhhh" but I missed out
on "Present" and "Via Nostra". I haven't even heard them....
so please tell me how they compare to "lost and found" if
you know anything about them....

i haven't heard lost and found. i own present and via
nostra. each record is a refinement and development of the
previous record, and each is consistent if lacking in the
highest highs of kitchen and aaahhhhhh. i'd have to upload
them from my work computer, so i might not be able to do it,
but i'll try to remember to bring them to work to see if i
have the time to post them somewhere. if you can't find a
download elsewhere in the meantime, i'll try to hook ye up.

for that one.

yeah, the ambient album is a different style, lush but much
less engaging.

thanks for lost and found, i hadn't been really interested
in it because i didn't like anything i heard after via
nostra (compilation tracks on meteosound, and the releases
on badorb) but this sounds like classic sun electric, via
nostra taken to the next level. nice!

Thank you again..

of this lot of sun electric music I feel that lost and found
is the better album. It's a real achievement and at the same
time the most natural and easily flowing album as if it is
less inhibited by outside factors. That's sort of the
problem with Via Nostra. For me it sounds like Sun Electric
trying to do A User's Guide by Ultramarine, not really
sounding like themselves and thus failing. It's a nice
enough record, though, but still something seems to be
lacking. Present on the other hand is sweet and it's
definitely Sun Electric trying to sound like Sun Electric.
The cover strongly suggests that pink is the thing this time
but I hear a lot of the good old Sun Electric white and
yellow to let myself be taken over by this one for sure. If
I had to choose between them I would go for Lost and Found.
Having said that I really hope they make another album and
stick to what they are, electronica...

Uuups, I spilled my drink.. :P

I've never got Sun Electric. It's soo Dry. I've seen them
live a few times and it's crap. Thomas Fehlmann has
mentored better things than them.

I know what you mean, Sun Electric is like Orbital minus the
melodies. Still some great stuff though. Beats LFO anyway
lol

Nor The Grid.

Fuck them all.
