How does the final design for an album cover get printed onto the cover?
The most common method is baby stamps. First you need a fresh baby- one of phobiazero's works the best. Dip the baby in ink and stamp it onto your cover.
What are album covers made of?
They used to be made of anal bum covers but now most are made from really finely shredded watermelon rinds.
Is there any online distributors or independant companies that provide you with a product?
They exist but none of them are online. The most popular company that does this is a franchise that sets itself up offline inside taco bells.

How does the final design for an album cover get printed onto the cover?
You design the artwork digitally then supply it to the manufacturer either through email/ftp or just send them a disc with it on. You have to make sure the artwork is properly to spec, otherwise many will reject it and charge you extra. You can also go the other route and silkscreen the sleeves yourself, if you have the time/equiptment.
What are album covers made of?
Cardboard, of varying thickness depending on whether it is housing a single or double album.
Is there any online distributors or independant companies
that provide you with a product?
Yeah, any company which can produce and manufacture records can do it for you. Normally, you will get your actual laquers cut at a good mastering house, then supply this to the manufacture who does everything else.
