i have no idea if it's good or not, but it has been hyped a lot. anyone here a member?

It's brilliant! I was sceptical at first (maybe because I didn't have an invite and couldn't check it out), but now I love it. Sound quality is excellent, it's stable, lots and lots of music, yada yada yada, blah blah blah. This is something I could actually pay for. It's like... the future, today.
It looks like this

i've been trying it out for the first time today. it's alright, i suppose. fairly large collection, and it will probably improve over time. but i doubt i'll be using it regularily. still, i can see the benefit of using it when you're away from your music collection. i.e. at parties with horrible music.
i would never, EVER pay for this, though.

it really isn't.
shitloads of albums\artists have disappeared the last two months or so, probably because of disagreement with labels.
but, i'm still moderately optimistic. spotify has potential has the potential to be amazing.

I like this service. But it's only splendid if you're into mainstream pop. Among all new fresh beloved "analord" artists, Ceephax oddly gets most attention. His EPs are represented, far lesser AFX and brother Squarepusher; only remixes by the Belville trio, almost no real Detroit techno; not much, if any classic IDM (ART, Rephlex, Planet Mu &c).
