de-shelled and packaged, don't taste as good...

but why? is it the effort you put in to open the half open
shells that rewards you even more than if the supermarket
opens them for you?

i just eat the whole 175g box in 10 minutes, but if they had
been in their shells, your looking at around 30 minutes..
having to release them from the shells myself would of been
a better tasting experience, because of the sense of
achievement of each nut released by me and NOT some machine
doing it for me!

I don't think its all mental, nuts in the shell do taste
better than deshelled.

They are more fresh fresher they taste fresh.

I love it when a machine takes pistachios, de-shells them
and makes me pistachio ice-cream. Best flavor...

Interesting Fact: Before machines, pistachios were picked
an processed by hand. That red dye was to cover the
fingerprints.

roasted brazils? honey roasted peas are purdy good.

did u capture the soul of that little red dude with ur own
soul capturing device or is it a lifted pic?

never had pre-unshelled pistachios but yo i think it is
probably because there is some salt stickied on the shell
which tastes good: It is an intersting haptical experience
for the tongue to lick pistachio shells.

well each to their own...i didn't take that pic, but I am
going to be in scotland as you know.. and those red
squirrels live in the area, they are kind of rare to find.

your right blaaard, that's why they taste better, i'm never
buying them de-shelled again
