There is the small problem that the company recently pledged
allegiance to Hitler and use robber-baron inspired tactics
that they cover up with a happy fluffy propaganda image.
They have a monopoly and the power to ban you from their
site which they exercise freely lately, possibly with some
secret motive to remove everyone who doesn't do enormous
sales volume.
You can try and sell there but beware of the feedback system
minefield now. They might purposely have secret ebay
employees paid to leave you negative feedback, and they ban
for negative feedback now. And its not just
'negative/positive' to worry about now- now there's 4
different star ratings that can also result in being banned
if they are too low. And the stars 'grade' irrelevant things
only in ebay's favor. Basically the system is designed so
they can ban anyone for anything if they want.
Alternative sites are springing up, but currently have a
fraction of the user base:
bonanzle
atomic mall
ioffer
ebid
craigslist (only good for local items that are too large to
ship)

thanks! i'll have a peep at a few of those alternatives i've
not heard of. gumtree can be quite decent too.

i recommend barring people with bad feedback or few feedback
from bidding on your items for sale because i have been
stiffed several times, and it gets costly since you don't
get your listing fees returned to you after you've filed a
non-paying bidder complaint with ebay

i dunno. i've got an Mbox with protools and a copy of logic
7 that i need to get rid of. . . a new crybaby pedal, a
bunch of logic/ final cut manuals, a few mics. . a few
books. just stuff that is worth money that i don't use. but
nothing very exciting.

you're right sadly buying is much more fun and i've over
done it the last few months on a DPA mic, a fostex le and a
few other toys to treat myself for finishing my final exams.

now i'll have to give my family things like bread, soap and
compliments for christmas.

recordings.. kinda like yours but not as neat n tidy and
cool.

cheers man=]

Yeah the wee fostex's are ok. dreadful headphone amp
tho-really hissy but the pre amps are grand. You can fire
one of those tamiya monster truck batteries in and they last
for hours. weight next to nothing too, i don't think you can
get a much better portable recorder with XLRs without
getting into +£1000 'sound devices' territory. I can't
picture what you're making btw but you should defo post a
picture=D

yeh at least it records sweet !:P i drooled over a lunatec
v2 grace designs. that's a beast. but thought why not use
the pre amps off my emu 1616m which has phantom on cardbus
!, i thought utalise those , so shal eventually build a
mini atx dual 2 ghz xpro off a usb2 flash stick thingy and
power it all off some rechargeable batteries, get a very
small vga display(maybe touch screen they pretty cheap) and
run steinberg nuendo off it . somethings bound to go wrong.
its gonna be a messy setup but i hoped for around / under
300 as i have the pre amps. i was about to do it then i got
a job. freak sake. after xmas i'll do it. :P
