I have reached musical nirvana

Music Fidelity X-CAN V8
Senn HD650
Ears
Good Music

I ran my 650's through my Echo Indigo for the longest time,
but this amp makes the world of difference. The soundstage
and total purity of the sound.. it is hard to describe just
how much of a difference it has made.

I love speakers, but this is going to take some beating.

That is one beastly rotary knob! I'm completely uneducated
in headphone amps, but I bet that wasn't cheap.

i got a pair of seinheiser hd280s and it makes all the
difference when moving from standard radio department fare.

i came into those, some monitors and mic stands when one of
my brother's friends had to get rid of a bunch of his gear.
now i just need a proper amp so i can run the monitors.

congs!

hey no need to congratulate, all i did was spend a bit of
money (ok, a lot of money) - not my biggest achievement in
life, but nice nonetheless :)

and yes, it is definitely one beastly volume knob indeed.
the whole unit is nice and weighty too. it also has two
headphones jacks, so i can plug in two pairs of 650s and
wrap them around my head and experience twice the aural
pleasure.

Haha! It's good to know that aliens with 4 ears (wMw) were
accommodated in this product, as well. glad it's working out
for you. :)

it is true you need a good headphone preamp with good
headphones. that is generally not the one that comes with
the amp for your speakers

I know, it looks like turning that knob would be really
satisfying. Don't get cheesy fingers or anything on that
light surface though, keep it pristine.

I have AKG K-701 headphones.

No amp, though. Too expensive.

I feel like I am wasting the quality of the headphones a
bit- they are reference grade, so I should probably be using
them for sound recording. I would like to start making
music, but is it too much money and effort for me at
present.

And congrats on your new purchase.

I am jealous indeed!
