I've recently bought a new pc, which allows me to use better effects than I previously could.
Ive tried to master this song of mine best I could, time flies. Would like some feedback on both the mastering, and the song itself!
what plugins do you use to master? what vsts do you find yourself using the most?
cheers

well for starters I recognize your click hi hats as an ableton built in preset, I believe I can also hear some stock beat repeat in there. You really should mask the presets a bit more. That's all fine though, it's only annoying if you have an "in" with the sounds (which many here do).
The mix was ok, but I didn't like how you cranked up the volume on the whole track around 3:50 and even louder again around 5:00 in. If you want to convey dynamics and a sense of build up and release, building upon your melody is the way to go, rather than just turning up the volume (there are exceptions sometimes, though).
As far as the structure, it's ok. I think it could have used some more beatwork and variation in that area. Good harmonies all around, good timbre.
