Anyone know of any good hip-hop/ trip-hop?

My friend just reccomended DJ Shadow which is OK I guess,
but I want more!

lol SlipDrinkMats...

DJ Shadow's "Endtroducing" and Tricky's "Maxinquaye" are 2
of the very few bona fide masterpieces of the trip/hip hop
genre.

also look into Odd Nosdam.

Oh, ok well Mo Wax's "Headz" then, with Ae in there for the
XLT crossover. And Whitney Houston.

maybe the older portishead album is trip hop but this new
one is far from it. dabrey is a good and original artists.
theres always prefuse 73 and daedeus but theyre stuff sounds
horrible.

flying lotus seems to have taken up the torch of trip hop

Quite a selection here, guys. Thanks!

I just listened to DJ Shadow a little more and it is pretty
fucking good, actually. I was disillusioned by the new shit
I think. I was excited by the fact that one of the tracks on
Endtroducing is used on Chris Morris's masterpiece 'Jam'.
Awesome! Didn't realise I'd loved DJ Shadow all along, haha.

ANyway, cheers- I'll SLSK those others artists tonight and
see what i think.

madvillain is still probably my favorite hip-hop album of
all time.

also if you liked themselves, check out clouddead, which is
another project by wonderful nasal-voiced emcee doseone (of
themselves).

lone - ecstacy and friends is a recent entry into the
kind-of-trip-hop pool fly lo has been occupying, with some
boards of canada added.
