translation from italian: in occasion to the release of 'Vulgus', the new work of the partenopean band that has seen the reconciliation with Raiz, here is another remix contest promoted by Musicaoltranza.net and addressed to young (unsigned) artists. ends 28 january 2009. name of the winners 28 february 2009. almamegretta bio: Almamegretta are a dub/world/reggae group from Naples, Italy. Their lyrics are in Napoletano.Gianni Mantice,Patrizia Di Fiore and Gennaro T,established the group in the 1987.In the 1990 Patrizia left the band,she was replaced by Raiz and Paolo Polcari,D.Rad joint the group. Their music became quite successful, leading to remix work for Massive Attack. Adrian Sherwood also remixed their album "Sanacore". Raiss (also spelled Rais and Raiz) left the band in 2003, pursuing a solo career. disclaimer: i did an ep for this label but im not making any favour to them, i'm posting this only cos the first prize is 250 euros to be spent and a digital release, so i thought that some of you might be interested in it. to d/l the samples registration is required. |
