Mr. teapot| hello,

whats c'est l'econimie mean by the way-

the vocals are you correct- they sound good just
underproduced, i guess thats why its a demo right :)

hello Mr. Recycle

what does 'c'est l'economie' mean? i work with this guy who
is french canadian, and he was reading this current affairs
journal and 'c'est l'economie' was the heading... i think it
means "it is the economy" by i could be slightly wrong...

it was done in my bedroom... we were in the studio recording
the album version last night, but i always like the demos
better so i posted this :)

underproduced yes...

:) jim

first part is pretty good, not really my style--but starting
around 3:00 in gets really nice- aside from a few mixing
issues. really nice melodies in that second half. Nice build
up to the vocals coming back in. liked that whole part a
lot.

you have this one bitcrushed "vssst" sound in there that
sort of makes it sound like the track is clipping a little
bit... that blown-speaker sound doesn't bother some people
but it always grates on me pretty bad-- i might think about
switching that up with something else.

cheers wolfslice, yeah, 3:00 onwards is my favorite bit too,
when the pads come in reversed :)

sorry you don't like the vssst sound :( one of my fave
bits...

This is amazingly Radiohead. I like it, I downloaded the
stuff off your guys' MySpace. Your songs are really really
good.

The snare drum could be stronger, but it this IS a demo so I
expect the album version would be stronger?

much stronger...
there is no compression on anything at all, it's just a
bedroom job my speakers are from an 80's hi-fi :) not ideal
circumstances... been in the studio last few nights working
on these tracks, they are sounding pretty lush... i just
always get emotionally attached to the demos more than the
studio versions for some reason :)

the sound itself is good, it's just the effect it has- like
it's distorting the track a little bit inadvertently... but
like you just said there's no compression on the track so
that will likely solve the problem in the final cut :)

the chords are very radioheadish indeed, not a bad thing,
got to know this guy making similar stuff to this with allot
of rhead influences and I actually like to listen to rhead
influences more then rhead itself, that "sound" has grown on
me lately.. Indeed the 3min part on is great, also like the
childish rythmic "yap yap" synth (or whatever they are,
sounds something organic?) wich you can hear before things
get more busy. Nice stuff, I'm heading to the myspace now..

a paypal nor am i aware of how to get one, but i'll look
into it... they'll be at rockinghorse records next week, and
i do believe they have online ordering and shipping if thats
easier :)
