Everyone knows the new BEATS By Dre are the
greatest headphones ever made.

I used to have Bose Tri Port which were really comfortable
with a pleasing, but artificial sound.

Then I tried Grado SR-80 headphones, which had amazing sound
but hurt my ears.

still looking for a comfortable but great sounding set

Unless you are a suicidal loner, all headphones are crap
really. Air moving a small bit from your ear is rubbish.

sorry we all can't afford proper audio setups, jivv.

listening to something on headphones at night makes the
music to me, feel much more personal. it also allows you to
escape the open air / outside world a bit and become more
enclosed (mindset).

air moving 2meters from your ear is rubbish. how can you
listen to 50ft wavelengths like that?

and for the higher frequencies, it's better to have the
smaller bit of air between speaker and inner ear.

trying to be elitist.

+1

I really like that "enclosed" feeling, I like my music
close.

unless you've got a basement or you live away from people
you can't always play music loud when you want to

apparently ulrich schnauss recorded recorded his entire last
album whilst wearing headphones. no wonder the production
sounds like muffled shit.
