Horrible... the thing that puts me of church, well, one of the things, is that they're always so brightly lit, like with fucking arc-lit spot welding photo shoot lights... a church should be candle lit, sombre... not fucking Supermarket flourescent bulb HYPER lit. Why do they do that? The last time I went to church with any serious intentions was about 5 years ago, (ok, the penultimate time, the last time I was drunk) I went with my wife and, we're both catholics, everything was fine right up until the end when they said "And now, as we approach summer, let's say a prayer for all the Hay Fever sufferers..." and in a rare moment of mutual understanding we both looked at each other as if to say "What the fucking hell.. ?" I wanted an "experience", I wanted to say to God, "Look, I'm sorry I've been a bit negligent .. all my life, but now I'm ready to accept that.. you know, you might know best" and yet I got some homily for sniffling people with piffling fucking alergies. |

There you go, thanks for backing me up on that. Once I went to a wedding, it was a black family, in a church... the fucking lights they had... like... a stuck strobe.... it must be a Christian thing. |
