life is all about balance and immersion. one day, you are alone in your apartment, it's raining outside, you put on a nice ambient track, and nothing exists but you, the track and your mind. you sit and watch the rain while the music plays, everything is perfect. another day your mom dies, you cry, you go to her funeral and hold a speech, nothing exists then but the memories of your mom, and taking care of everything regarding the funeral. another day you meet a girl, shes smart, beautiful, you forget your music, you forget your mom too, nothing exists but the moments you are in. i guess my point is that, different things matter at different times, and they do not nullify each other. be open to new things to care about, and let yourself become immersed in everything this place has to offer. |
