i was just unknown aphex track from rome 2002 (after it was
identified again in that new oxygen set) and reading through
the comments, when on page 13 someone says this:

"Nicetry75 (7 months ago)

Cool. Btw way the song's called "Find the Phenix" by
the Tuss from the new album coming out 2009. It's not even
on limewaire yet. "

Anyone have any more info on this, have I missed something?
Had a look on Rephlex and there's no mention of it, besides
this comment was left 7 months ago!

The song's called "Find the Phenix" and it's from The Tuss's
new album coming out in 2009.

Funny thing is, to me, it sounds about right.

I think it's probably a track off of that album that Rich
made with Luke and Tom, with all the bits by Mike edited
out, that will never be released because it's so good that
nobody's worthy of hearing it.

which means;

The Tuss = Aphex Twin, Luke Vibert and Squarepusher.

The Tuss = Richard D James + Luke and Tom and Mike
occasionally stopping by and making Rich feel different

Sounds like a remix or pre-version of Grumpy Acid.. The
bottom bassline is the same as on G.A.. but sped up

seriously tho, the track is by tom jenkinson.
you can easily be forgiven for assuming its afx.

its definitely squarepusher. its off an ep called
intelli-gent. he played almost the whole ep during a 3hr set
at a tiny gig in corsica studios in london last year. its
some of the best acid i have ever heard. unfortunately he
said he is not going to release it.

i'm pretty sure there's a great acid version of abacus on
that ep as well.
